Kejora Goes to Malaysia to Visit MDEC
Satisfying the partnership agreements to our MOU with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), signed during our 2016 Arena One Demo Day, Kejora visited MDEC headquarter in Cyber Jaya, Malaysia on July 27th, 2016. During this event, Kejora attended discussion forum with other Malaysian investor communities and was pitched by eleven of the hottest Malaysian startups.
Â
As this is the first meeting among Kejora and MDEC following the MOU, the discussion forum with the Malaysian investors contained topics on what Kejora, MDEC, and other Malaysian investors could collaborate together to further grow the Indonesian and Malaysian technology ecosystem. Talks included topics on how startups could scale by entering the Indonesian and Malaysian market and in turn work and grow together as regional market leaders.
Â
During the pitching event, there were eleven Malaysian startups picked by MDEC that pitched to Kejora. These startups are: Belazee, Catch That Bus, Cool Code, Culture Guru, Gluek Technologies, Intuitive Asset, Loanstreet, Moving Walls, QWork, Touristly, and YouthsToday.
Â
The startups were given 15 minutes in total to pitch to Kejora, 2-3 minutes for setting up and transition period, 5-7 minutes for presentation, and 5 minutes for Q&A. Kejora is given the option to follow-up with the startups if it’s interested to find out more information.
Â
Kejora believes that this event signals a great start for many upcoming collaborations to come. It was a very refreshing trip and we can’t wait for the next meeting to take place soon.
