Vice President, Portfolio Management

Job Requirement

Portfolio review. Review every company in the portfolio. Sort each one by exit readiness: sellable now, needs work to be sellable, partial-liquidity candidate, hold-and-grow, restructure candidate, write-down.

Buyer mapping. Build current maps of potential buyers for each company. Japanese trading houses, Korean strategics, regional and global PE, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, secondaries funds. Know who is actively buying right now, not just who is on the list.

Process execution. Run sell-side processes from start to finish. Teasers, information memoranda, data rooms, management presentations, buyer outreach, bid management, SPA negotiation. Manage external advisors where used.

Creative liquidity. Design and run alternatives to straight trade sales: GP-led secondaries, continuation vehicles, structured equity, NAV financing, partial exits, founder buyouts, recapitalisations, strip sales.

Founder coaching. Work with founders to set expectations, shape the story for buyers, and prepare them for meetings. Have the difficult conversations on valuation, timing, and trade-offs.

Cap table coordination. Work with co-investors and other GPs on the same cap tables. Manage drag-along scenarios, align minority holders, resolve blocking positions.

LP-facing input. Help the Managing Partner communicate realization strategy and progress in LP updates, AGMs, and one-on-one LP calls.

Job Description

Who you are

  • 6 to 10 years of work      experience in deal-heavy roles. This could be M&A or capital markets      advisory, private equity, growth or venture capital, corporate      development, or strategy consulting with real deal exposure. We care more      about what you can do than where you've worked.

  • Direct experience      working on live deals from start to finish, not just modelling them on the      side.

  • Comfortable owning a      process from start to signing, with light supervision.

  • Strong on valuation,      deal structures, term sheets, waterfalls, and preference stacks. Can model      a return scenario quickly.

  • Active buyer-side or      counterparty relationships you can use from day one.

  • Works well with founders      but can push back when needed.

Nice to have

  • Hybrid background      combining advisory (banking or consulting) with principal investing (PE,      VC, or corporate development).

  • Two to three deals you      can walk through in detail, including what went wrong.

  • Direct Indonesia      experience and an existing Jakarta network across founders, family      offices, and the local PE community.

  • Relationships across      regional PE, Japanese trading houses, Korean strategics, family offices      and sovereigns, or secondaries funds.

  • Sector depth in      consumer tech, fintech, logistics, or B2B SaaS.

  • Prior experience      executing a GP-led secondary or continuation vehicle.

  • CFA or MBA from a      recognised programme.
